To say I was excited when I received an enquiry from Amy & Ollie is an understatement. Especially since we’ve known each other for many years, which would only came up at the pre-wedding photoshoot!
Drumtochty Castle is a neo-gothic style castellated mansion erected in the year 1812 approximately three kilometres northwest of Auchenblae, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Photographing a wedding in a new venue is always a bit of a challenge. First of all because I spend a lot of time on top of my regular shooting pattern scouting the location and visualising the story that I can then build throughout the day. Drumtochty is a big place and St Palladius church is quite a walk away through the forest. Cairn o’mount where we decided to go for the couple’s photos is even further away! Guess I’ll eventually get fit!
