Cailin & Chris

On the map of wedding venues there are places that are beautiful and then there are places such as Dalduff Farm in Maybole. If you ask me for a list of my favourite wedding venues in Scotland – it’s just made it right to the top. Not only because of its authenticity and natural, raw beauty, but also the variety of locations and completely different settings that share the same characteristics. Never have I been in a place where after a day of shooting I find myself going through 1500+ images from completely different locations, such as the cottage house, the garden, the barn, the river, the tiny forest close to the venue, that fit together so perfectly to create one cohesive story. The colour themes, the vintage feel, the rusty barn and barrells all around… It’s like a movie set.

I started the day by scouting the farm for locations for shoots. Exciting times. Wherever I went, I found beautiful backgrounds and detail that fit into my vision perfectly. How many times do I get to walk around and simply point my camera at random things just having fun and get beautiful pictures?

When do I even mention the amazing bridal party and obviously the stars of the evening – Cailin and Chris who were such a pleasure to work with?
